 Journey to Freedom
Journey to Freedom is an 8-week group study on how to change. Developed by the YMCA's Restore Ministries, and offered at area YMCAs and “partner churches.” The program offers an inspiring and hopefilled vision for those who want to improve spirit, mind and body.

Guided by trained facilitators, you’ll learn: Dr. James Prochaska, university researcher and author of Changing for Good, learned that people need to move through six stages for change to be permanent: pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and termination. Prochaska discovered that only 20% of the people who desired change were actually through the first three stages and ready for action – the stage where change actually occurs. Journey to Freedom takes people through the first three stages, then helps them develop an action plan, and shows them how to implement that plan.

Hope, health, and happiness are truly yours to claim on the Journey to Freedom. We hope you’ll join us!

In addition to Journey to Freedom we offer:

 Power to Choose
Power to Choose is Restore Ministry's 12-step program. The only power we have is the power of choice. Addictions and compulsions remove the power of choice. If we have lost the power of choice, then we are unable to make sane decisions. So, we need a power that will restore our power to choose, and that power comes from God. This is a pathway to a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ -- the Power who has the power to bring us to wholeness. (Pre-requisite: Journey to Freedom)

 Love Is a Choice
Love Is a Choice offers hope to those who feel caught in a trap of constantly trying to please others and yet feel guilty. It explores the feeling that something is missing in life. Common relationship problems are questioned and explored, while healthy solutions and coping tools are offered for the future. (Pre-requisite: Journey to Freedom)

Restore Counseling Center offers intensive individual, couple's, pre-marital, marital, and family counseling. Certified/licensed therapists are available to you to address any number of potential problems that are holding you back. All fees are based on a sliding scale so no one is turned away, and counselors are available on days, evenings, and even weekends if needed.

For additional information about groups, please contact Lindsey Castleman at 615-565-6278. For the Counseling Center, please contact Rebecca Griffith at 615-565-6281.
